Press Democrat October 17, 2008 Letter to the Editor BY ADAM WITHROW EDITOR: When I saw the headline "Tiffany Renée for City Council," I thought it's about time my sister ran for office again. As her younger brother, I have always been proud of her integrity and her willingness to stand up for what she believes is right. As a former Marine and current police officer, I know that counts for a lot when the public needs you. Growing up, I was fortunate to have such a loving sister. She upholds collective values and is always coordinating family events and keeping up traditions. For instance, our family has an annual gathering, Tamale Day, where we celebrate our Latin heritage by cooking dozens of tamales, playing music and dancing. This is not easy task to organize. However, at the nucleus of it all is Tiff with pen and paper in hand, delegating jobs. She sure knows how to set a plan into motion. The Petaluma City Council would be privileged to have such a team player working for the overall preservation of such an original community. Tiffany Renée is a diligent and talented person who demonstrates strong leadership that runs in our family. A person with so much dedication and motivation would be the one I would vote for to better serve my city, without reservation. ADAM WITHROW Pacifica |
